MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A third woman is accusing University of Minnesota basketball player of sexual assault , and a school panel has recommended his expulsion. Senior Reggie Lynch was accused of sexual assault for the second time late last week.

Just as he returned to practice for Minnesota’s basketball team while facing suspension, star center Reggie Lynch could very well be facing expulsion from the school.

According to a new report from the Star Tribune, a third women has now come forward to accuse the Illinois State transfer of sexual assault.

“A third sexual assault allegation emerged Tuesday against suspended University of Minnesota basketball standout Reggie Lynch, in a complaint that has resulted in a recommendation of expulsion,” the report read.

Suspended Minnesota basketball forward Reggie Lynch faces a third sexual assault allegation, the Star Tribune reports . The complaint, obtained by the Star Tribune on Tuesday, marks the third woman to come forward accusing Lynch of sexual misconduct.

University of Minnesota standout Reggie Lynch faces suspension over an alleged violation of the school's sexual misconduct policy after a second woman accused him of assault , according to newspaper reports published Friday citing a school investigation.

Another report earlier in the day noted that Lynch had returned to practice with his teammates as he appeals a two-year suspension from the institution.

The latest piece of information comes from Minnesota’s Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EOAA) and found that “Lynch was responsible for sexual misconduct in an alleged sexual assault that occurred on April 7, 2016.”

According to the Star Tribune‘s report, the alleged incidents took place before Lynch ever played a game for the Gophers.

“In the case publicized last week, a woman who filed a complaint against Lynch in early October revealed that an investigator had found him responsible for a sexual assault in his dorm room at Roy Wilkins Hall on April 28, 2016. For his behavior in that incident, the EOAA investigator said Lynch should be suspended from the university and barred from campus until August 2020,” the Tribune noted.

Lynch, who is in his final year of college eligibility, is averaging 10.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He transferred from Illinois State following the 2014-15 season. It now looks like his college career is over, which appears to be the least of Lynch’s concerns.
