Another Eagles fan arrested for allegedly punching police horse

Another Eagles fan arrested for allegedly punching police horse For the second time in just over a week, a Philadelphia Eagles fan was arrested on Sunday for punching a police horse outside Lincoln Financial Field. While police reported no arrests from the celebrations that took place in the streets after the Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings, there were a few people taken into custody before kickoff. One of them was Andrew Tornetta, who was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and related charges. According to a police report obtained by Darryl Slater of NJ.com, Tornetta is accused of punching a police horse.

It was windy at Lincoln Financial Field, and the Falcons were stuck trying to move the ball against the wind in the second half. This one had some very strange plays that shaped the outcome, and things ended up bouncing the Eagles ’ way just enough to get the win .

Here are the reasons why both teams can win , followed by my early prediction for the game : Why the Eagles can win 1. The… The Falcons , meanwhile, were all hands on deck in Week 17 and played a physical four quarters this past weekend.

a football player holding a bat© Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports The most obvious storyline heading into this one was Nick Foles starting in place of Carson Wentz, who tore his ACL in Week 14. But the Eagles finished the regular season with the third-best run game in the NFL. The ground game had some momentum in the first half, but the Falcons slowed them down, holding the Eagles to 96 yards and one touchdown on the ground.

Philadelphia opened things up with the run/pass option in the second half, and they took advantage of the fact that the Falcons expected them to run it. Nick Foles hd some errant throws, but finished with a respectable 23-of-30 for 246 yards and no picks.

Following his ejection, police said, he approached a mounted officer and "began punching the horse in the face, neck and shoulder area.

For the Eagles and their new No. 1 quarterback trying to make like a modern-day Jeff Hostetler, it was just as relieving to get the win as it was euphoric in South Philly. No part of the state is named for Foles, and after the way Saturday's NFC divisional playoff game against the Falcons started, the only

In the Eagles ' win over the Falcons a year ago, Jones had 10 catches for 135 yards, and it was Schwartz tried to downplay the notion of defending 'one guy.' "The point is to try to win the game ," he said. Nigel Bradham, Mychal Kendricks, and Dannell Ellerbe will have their hands full this Saturday.

It was windy at Lincoln Financial Field, and the Falcons were stuck trying to move the ball against the wind in the second half. The Eagles defense keyed in on the run, just like they did all year to finish No. 1 in the league, and pretty much shut Atlanta down for most of the second half.

The Eagles settled for a field goal after a 14-play, 80-yard drive that took almost eight minutes off the clock in the fourth quarter. Atlanta made some big-time plays on the next possession, but a crucial fourth-down stop from the Eagles on fourth-and-goal saved the day.

This one had some very strange plays that shaped the outcome, and things ended up bouncing the Eagles’ way just enough to get the win.

Magic Johnson And Jeanie Buss Finally Publicly Back Luke Walton

Magic Johnson And Jeanie Buss Finally Publicly Back Luke Walton The Lakers supported Luke Walton on Saturday.First, Buss sent the following tweet:

As always, win or lose, we hand out 10 awards. During the Eagles -Vikings game , Ryan Mathews committed the cardinal sin for running backs. Leodis McKelvin tried to jump a route against Falcons wide receiver Taylor Gabriel. That didn't go so well for him.

But the Eagles have an advantage in every other facet of the game . I think they win , win easily, and give us fans Dave: Pretty worried. The Falcons should try to get Jones matched up against anyone but Maxwell There were only a couple surprises on the final 53, and none of them will dress anyway .

Falcons caught a break with a Jay Ajayi fumble

And they made life a lot easier for Nick Foles by interfering with his receivers consistently. The Falcons had two pass interference calls for 63 total yards in the first quarter alone, including this one on the first play of the Eagles’ first possession.

That was Falcons nickelback Brian Poole who drew the flag. He made up for it on the next play when he stripped Jay Ajayi and forced a fumble.

Julio Jones had to play DB to prevent some Matt Ryan interceptions

Matt Ryan was the league’s MVP last season. Not so much this year. The Falcons offense has been inconsistent, and Ryan’s play has been part of it. Julio Jones had to come to his rescue a couple of times, not with big catches, but by knocking down almost certain receptions.

The Eagles might have been able to run away with this one if Jones hadn’t knocked these balls down.

Sean Payton’s ‘Skol’ chant went from troll to self-own in 25 seconds thanks to the ‘Minneapolis Miracle’

Sean Payton’s ‘Skol’ chant went from troll to self-own in 25 seconds thanks to the ‘Minneapolis Miracle’ Rumors swirled after the Saints’ loss to the Vikings that Sean Payton was doing the “Sköl” clap as it appeared his team would beat the Vikings with 25 seconds to go in the game. We can now confirm those to be true. Payton didn’t just do it facing the field, either.

Temperatures won ’t be freezing but the game will be played in the mid-to-low 50’s. If the Eagles do not control the tempo, they will most likely not win this game . The Falcons on the other hand will want to use their up-tempo offense to control the game .

Anyway , in the first six games this season, they almost lost to Mike Glennon, beat Aaron Rodgers, but lost to Jay Cutler. The Falcons haven’t won a road playoff game in … a week. We agree on 23-16. POLL: Who is the key offensive player in the Eagles - Falcons game ? Sign up for free Eagles

Keanu Neal’s assist gave Nick Foles his best passing play of the day

Foles is not the world’s most accurate passer, and he had to throw against the wind in the first half, which did not improve his aim. But he got some help from Falcons safety Keanu Neal on this one, which bounced off of Neal’s knee and into the waiting hands of Torrey Smith.

Nick Foles recovered his own fumble and almost scored

This may be the play that ultimately decided the game in the Eagles’ favor. Foles fumbled on the 2-yard line and third-and goal, recovered his own fumble on the 1-yard line, and it was ruled a touchdown. It was overturned on review.

It didn’t matter, because LeGarrette Blount scored anyway. The Eagles decided to go for it on fourth down. Blount walked into the end zone

A muffed punt swings luck in the Falcons’ direction

The Falcons had just given up a touchdown to the Eagles, and they were trailing 6-3 thanks to a missed PAT by Philadelphia. They got another boost from the Eagles special teams when they muffed a punt.

Lane Johnson, on the other hand , might tell those people they should be grateful "Moving forward, we have to drown out distractions and try to win one game at a time, because it 's really hard." In that game , the Eagles held the Falcons to 303 total yards of offense and just 11 first downs.

They gave some tips, explained what they've learned and tried to get their teammates to understand what playoff football is like in the NFL. In 2002, the Eagles hosted the Falcons in a conference semifinal game and won 20-6 on Bobby Taylor’s pick-six off Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.

The Falcons recovered and were able to drive down and score to take a 10-6 lead.

Tipped punt negated a running into the punter call

The Falcons almost got a redo on this one. But on review, it was clear that the punt was tipped.

It would have moved the Falcons up five yards and given Matt Bosher a chance to punt it again. Instead, the Eagles got it on their own 28, and they went down and scored a field goal to go up 12-10.

This Nelson Agholor run was play calling at its finest

The Falcons finished the season ranked in the top 10 for run defense. But they didn’t have much of an answer for the Eagles on Saturday no matter who was running the ball. Nelson Agholor even got a shot and made the most of it.

This game was the first time a No. 1 seed came into the playoffs as an underdog. But creative play calling like this helped lock this up for the Eagles.

Mohamed Sanu drops a crucial first down

The catch rule bit the Falcons with just over three minutes left to play in the fourth quarter. Trailing 15-10, Matt Ryan completed a pass to Sanu for a first down on third-and-6. Except the pass was incomplete.

Sanu didn’t control the ball all the way through the catch, and the Falcons had no choice but to go for it. Matt Ryan completed a clutch pass to Julio Jones for a fresh set of downs.

Devonta Freeman played end of season with MCL and PCL sprains Devonta Freeman was playing through some injuries towards the end of the Atlanta Falcons’ season, the running back revealed after the team’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday night. ESPN’s Vaughn McClure reported Saturday evening that Freeman played through MCL and PCL sprains in his right knee towards the end of the season.Freeman rushed for just seven yards on 10 carries in the 15-10 loss to the Eagles, though he did have a receiving touchdown for the second straight week. Including the playoffs, Freeman did not rush for more than 3.7 yards per carry in the team’s final four games.

Malcolm Jenkins left Freeman to try to close in on Ryan, allowing Freeman to slip free to take a 10-6 lead. More Coverage. POLL: Who is the key offensive player in the Eagles - Falcons game ? Credit Doug Pederson's steady hand , slick play sheet for Eagles ' win .
