Watch: Bill Walton was ready to light some grass on TV Watching Bill Walton call a college basketball game on national television, you never know quite what you’re going to get. The retired hoops icon was working Thursday’s game between the Arizona Wildcats and the Utah Utes on ESPN, when some classic Bill Walton hijinks ensued. Walton pulled out what appeared to be braided stalks of sweetgrass (Utah head coach Larry Krystowiak has something of a tradition of burning sweetgrass in the team’s locker room) and seemed ready to light up on TV.Bill Walton doing weed on TV pic.twitter.

Luke Walton has finally gotten a public show of support from the Los Angeles Lakers front office. Owner Jeanie Buss and team president Magic Johnson both tweeted their support for the Lakers head coach on Saturday. — Earvin Magic Johnson (@ MagicJohnson ) January 13, 2018.

Owner Jeanie Buss pushed back on recent reports by taking to Twitter to support Walton by revealing her dinner plans and using the hashtag “InLukeWeTrust” — Earvin Magic Johnson (@ MagicJohnson ) January 13, 2018.

Then, after the Lakers beat the Dallas Mavericks in overtime to secure their fourth-straight win, Johnson posted the following:

Lakers rookie Kyle Kuzma was a fan of Magic's tweet:

After LaVar Ball claimed Walton had lost the team and that none of the Lakers wanted to play for him, the organization's brass was notably silent. Meanwhile rumors circulated that the team was considering replacing Walton with David Fizdale.

ESPN's Ramona Shelburne shut down the Fizdale speculation on Saturday:

LaVar Ball served with lawsuit over Big Baller Brand products

LaVar Ball served with lawsuit over Big Baller Brand products Ball has yet to pay any of the $25,000 owed to a company that helped with Big Baller Brand products. The lawsuit was filed in San Bernardino County by the owner of Closet Collection in November. Michael Sayer, the attorney for Closet Connection, said that Ball himself received the summons for the breach of contract lawsuit.

The Los Angeles Lakers have a relatively new regime running the team, with the group of head coach Luke Walton , general manager Rob Pelinka, president of basketball operations Magic Johnson and owner Jeanie Buss attempting to work in concert to propel the franchise forward.

Frankly, the Lakers probably hadn't said anything because they didn't want to respond to a player's dad's comments.

The Lakers would be idiots to fire Walton after two seasons with an absurdly young roster. He's a high-upside coach building something with a young roster that has dramatically improved since last season. The record will likely reflect the improvement by the end of the season as the team continues to improve.

Yes, LA's recent nine-game losing streak was awful, but they were also missing Lonzo Ball for six of those games. The team is so much better when he's on the floor, even when the numbers don't show it.

Luke Walton . jeanie buss . This is so much less satisfying than Magic Johnson saying “hey, LaVar, give it a rest,” but it’s also not nothing.

Walton signed up for a long-term rebuilding project when he took the job in 2016. He deserves time to make it work.

See the trailer for role-playing mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery .
Websites like Pottermore have long allowed Harry Potter fans to test which Hogwarts House they’d land in or how they might interact with the wizarding school. Soon, however, those fans will finally have a chance to actually role-play as a Hogwarts student. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, a new mobile game out later this year from studio Jam City, will allow players to create a personalized Hogwarts student avatar. No need to wonder any longer whether you would’ve preferred Potions class or History of Magic; Hogwarts Mystery will allow players to attend classes, interact with Hogwarts professors, learn magic, and forge friendships (or Malfoy-style rivalries) with fellow students. In classic Harry Potter style, the game will feature larger plots and smaller stories based around relationships. The game will serve as something of a prequel to the proper Harry Potter series, set at Hogwarts when Harry’s was a small child and Nymphadora Tonks and Bill Weasley were students. The title will officially launch on the App Store and Google Play later this spring, but will first be introduced at the A Celebration of Harry Potter event at Universal Studios in Orlando, lasting from Jan. 26-28. Attendees will get a first crack at playing the game, as well as access to two preview panels hosted by Jam City.
