The Spurs tried to get Kyrie Irving

The Spurs tried to get Kyrie Irving As it turns out, the Boston Celtics weren’t the only ones in on Kyrie Irving this past offseason. That’s because the San Antonio Spurs wanted him too. And, reports indicate that they tried pretty hard to get him. Interesting nugget from @wojespn on @notthefakeSVP about Kyrie just now. "San Antonio tried really really hard to get him."— Ramona Shelburne (@ramonashelburne) January 4, 2018Could you imagine Kyrie and Kawhi playing together? And although he may be active, one source told Schefter Brown is not close to 100 percent . Brown participated in the team’s Saturday walkthrough and reportedly appeared healthy. That information comes days after reports said the Steelers expected Brown to be back in full form against the Jags.

“I’m told Antonio Brown is going to be 100 percent as he recovers from this calf strain,” Rapoport said Sunday. “He actually would have been able to play (Sunday) if the Steelers were playing. He’s definitely going to be able to play next week.

There appears to be serious concerns about Antonio Brown’s status entering Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter says Brown will test his calf before the game to see whether he can play. And although he may be active, one source told Schefter Brown is not close to 100 percent.

This report runs contrary to the info the Steelers seem to be putting out. Brown participated in the team’s Saturday walkthrough and reportedly appeared healthy. That information comes days after reports said the Steelers expected Brown to be back in full form against the Jags.

Brown has not played since the team’s Week 15 loss to the Patriots. He missed the next two regular season games and then got a week off thanks to Pittsburgh’s first-round playoff bye. He is recovering from a partially torn calf muscle.
