Kevin Harvick: Las Vegas win "answered a lot of questions"

Kevin Harvick: Las Vegas win Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick says that his latest victory at Las Vegas “answered a lot of questions” as to whether he can compete for a second NASCAR Cup series title in 2018. Harvick’s victory at Las Vegas made it two victories in a row for the 2014 Cup champion after winning at the unrepresentative Atlanta race the week before. The SHR driver believes that winning at a more conventional NASCAR track means he can better judge his 2018 prospects. When asked if his start to the current season reminded him of his title-winning campaign, Harvick said: “For me, there was a lot of questions coming into the weekend.

Kevin Harvick hit with severe penalty from NASCAR for rear-window malfunction

Kevin Harvick hit with severe penalty from NASCAR for rear-window malfunction Kevin Harvick was docked seven playoff points while his team and owner were docked 20 additional points for two violations in Las Vegas.Harvick lost seven playoff points, crew chief Rodney Childers was fined $50,000, and car chief Robert "Cheddar" Smith was suspended for two races for the violation. The team was also docked 20 points and 20 owner points.

Last week, Kevin Harvick was frustrated and angry. But after cruising to his third consecutive win of the 2018 season, he proved he's one of NASCAR's best trolls.

Following his win two weekends ago at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the sport penalized Harvick and his No. 4 Ford team for violations in the rear windshield area. In response, he slammed NASCAR and blamed social media for the penalty, which he believes was a major contributing factor since fans started buzzing about his window online after he won.

So when Harvick crossed the finish line Sunday at ISM Raceway outside of Phoenix, one of the first things he did was climb on the car and repeatedly smack his rear windshield.

"For all the supporters out there - and all you haters - I see you," Harvick clapped back after the race.

This move was straight out of Kyle Busch's playbook, as he's arguably the sport's best troll. Busch - who chased Harvick on Sunday and finished second - regularly takes on his haters and boos from the crowd, and it looks like Harvick found a hilarious way to follow suit.

Harvick's consecutive victories were in three of only four races this season, and at 42 years old, he's dominating while the sport has been pushing the narrative of its younger drivers. His first win of the year was at Atlanta Motor Speedway in February.

The way most media pundits made it seem, we were going to have a championship four all under the age of 25 this season. Not so fast.</p>CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Boy, was eeeeeveryone wrong.
