Report: Jerry Jones to meet with Dez Bryant on Friday

Report: Jerry Jones to meet with Dez Bryant on Friday Dez Bryant will meet with Jerry Jones on Friday, DFW’s 105.3 The Fan reports. The Cowboys could ask the star receiver to take a pay cut, or they could say good-bye by releasing him. The Cowboys owner will make the decision on Bryant.

Giving up future assets will be too risky for teams like the Cowboys , but Taylor is still convinced that Dallas should take a gamble on Thomas . NFL Rumors 2018: Dallas Cowboys Should Trade For Von Miller, 'Sport DFW' Reports .

Reports surfaced today that the Seahawks are open to moving Earl Thomas for the right price. After the Seahawks beat, and ended, the Cowboys ’ slim playoff hopes , Thomas talked to Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett.

Earl Thomas wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys. This is known.

According to a report, there is mutual interest in a trade to facilitate that, with the Dez Bryant release being a potential catalyst. When Bryant was released, it freed up $8 million in cap space, which could be utilized to bring in Thomas, and sign him to the extension he desires.

“…the Cowboys have contacted the Seahawks about a potential draft trade,” writes Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Star-Telegram. But the Seattle asking price of a first- and third-round draft pick was too high. The Cowboys are holding out hope that their asking price goes down to maybe a second-round pick. And the $8 million cap space they saved by cutting Bryant could be used to pay Thomas, whose base salary for 2018 is a convenient $8.5 million.”

Cowboys release star WR Dez Bryant after 8 seasons

Cowboys release star WR Dez Bryant after 8 seasons The Dallas Cowboys have released Dez Bryant, deciding salary cap relief with the star receiver's declining production outweighs the risk of him returning to All-Pro form with another team. Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said in a statement Friday it wasn't an easy decision, but was what the organization believes is in its best interest.Bryant never lived up to the $70 million, five-year contract he signed after leading the NFL with 16 touchdowns receiving in 2014.

First the Cowboys aren't going to trade for Thomas . That is directly related to point two. Not a fan of vaccaro. Still holding out hope Earl gets released lol.

According to this one report , Seattle has engaged in trade talks with the Dallas Cowboys surrounding Thomas . With Seattle clearly in cost-cutting mode and Thomas set to become a free agent following the 2018 campaign, a trade could still be worked out.

Hill also notes that the Cowboys might be hoping Thomas, a native Texan, would be interested in taking a hometown discount on a long-term deal. This scribe thinks that’s probably a bit far-fetched considering how much contract issues have meant to Thomas in the past. But it’s always a consideration, regardless.

Thomas played for the Texas Longhorns in college and has made no bones about wanting to play for the Cowboys. This is something to keep an eye on going forward, especially because Seattle has already started blowing things up and needs more draft capital to make moves for the future.

32. New England Patriots: The Patriots had once before tried to replace the famed Pat Patriot logo, partially because there was so many intricacies in the design (13 shirt wrinkles and small facial features) that it was hard to reproduce on various retail items. Fans booed the new logo (an American flag replica with a blue patriot's head instead of stars) so badly that it was never adopted. In 1993, the Patriots went with a new look, abandoning the red, white and blue color scheme for the current Flying Elvis logo with a silver background. This time they wisely didn't give fans a chance to boo. How bad is the logo? The jerseys or logos of great teams will, over time, eventually come to possess their own power. The Golden State Warriors logo os great but it didn't have that inherent strength until the team had it too. The Pats have been the NFL's preeminent team for close to 20 years and this logo looks as stupid today as the day it was unveiled. Ranking all 32 NFL logos, from worst to best

Report: Seahawks, Cowboys discuss details of Thomas trade .
Trade talks surrounding Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas seem to have cooled in recent weeks, but the Dallas Cowboys have reportedly not given up on finding a way to land the All-Pro in a trade. ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports that the Cowboys are not done making a push to acquire Thomas, and they have discussed trade parameters in detail with Seattle. Any deal would apparently center around the Cowboys’ second-round draft pick (No. 50 overall), but no move has been made yet because Dallas is not sure about being able to sign Thomas long-term. Thomas has just one year and $8.
