Cowboys' Jason Witten hoping to play into his 40s

Cowboys' Jason Witten hoping to play into his 40s Rumors swirling about regarding a potential Jason Witten retirement died down earlier this offseason after the future Hall of Fame tight end agreed to a contract restructure with the Dallas Cowboys. This has not stopped Witten from seeing his name bandied about as both a potential coach and a broadcaster. While Witten has not committed to playing beyond the 2018 season, he’s fully hopeful that his career will continue at least a couple more years.

Giving up future assets will be too risky for teams like the Cowboys , but Taylor is still convinced that Dallas should take a gamble on Thomas . NFL Rumors 2018: Dallas Cowboys Should Trade For Von Miller, 'Sport DFW' Reports .

Reports surfaced today that the Seahawks are open to moving Earl Thomas for the right price. After the Seahawks beat, and ended, the Cowboys ’ slim playoff hopes , Thomas talked to Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett.

Earl Thomas wants to play for the Dallas Cowboys. This is known.

According to a report, there is mutual interest in a trade to facilitate that, with the Dez Bryant release being a potential catalyst. When Bryant was released, it freed up $8 million in cap space, which could be utilized to bring in Thomas, and sign him to the extension he desires.

“…the Cowboys have contacted the Seahawks about a potential draft trade,” writes Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Star-Telegram. But the Seattle asking price of a first- and third-round draft pick was too high. The Cowboys are holding out hope that their asking price goes down to maybe a second-round pick. And the $8 million cap space they saved by cutting Bryant could be used to pay Thomas, whose base salary for 2018 is a convenient $8.5 million.”

Report: Clippers putting together Leonard trade proposal

Report: Clippers putting together Leonard trade proposal There’s been a lot of chatter about how Kawhi Leonard could be traded this summer after his relationship with the San Antonio Spurs fell into disrepair this past season. We’ve recently heard a report indicating multiple teams are interested in trading for Leonard, and now one of those teams has been identified.According to Sam Amick of USA Today Sports, the Los Angeles Clippers have already begun putting together a trade package for Leonard. Just in case.

First the Cowboys aren't going to trade for Thomas . That is directly related to point two. Not a fan of vaccaro. Still holding out hope Earl gets released lol.

According to this one report , Seattle has engaged in trade talks with the Dallas Cowboys surrounding Thomas . With Seattle clearly in cost-cutting mode and Thomas set to become a free agent following the 2018 campaign, a trade could still be worked out.

Hill also notes that the Cowboys might be hoping Thomas, a native Texan, would be interested in taking a hometown discount on a long-term deal. This scribe thinks that’s probably a bit far-fetched considering how much contract issues have meant to Thomas in the past. But it’s always a consideration, regardless.

Thomas played for the Texas Longhorns in college and has made no bones about wanting to play for the Cowboys. This is something to keep an eye on going forward, especially because Seattle has already started blowing things up and needs more draft capital to make moves for the future.

32. New England Patriots: The Patriots had once before tried to replace the famed Pat Patriot logo, partially because there was so many intricacies in the design (13 shirt wrinkles and small facial features) that it was hard to reproduce on various retail items. Fans booed the new logo (an American flag replica with a blue patriot's head instead of stars) so badly that it was never adopted. In 1993, the Patriots went with a new look, abandoning the red, white and blue color scheme for the current Flying Elvis logo with a silver background. This time they wisely didn't give fans a chance to boo. How bad is the logo? The jerseys or logos of great teams will, over time, eventually come to possess their own power. The Golden State Warriors logo os great but it didn't have that inherent strength until the team had it too. The Pats have been the NFL's preeminent team for close to 20 years and this logo looks as stupid today as the day it was unveiled. Ranking all 32 NFL logos, from worst to best
