One of the uglier things in the college football world is the transfer market. College coaches can bolt for wherever they please without penalty, but players must sit out a year if they choose to leave their school for another FBS school. The school that the player is leaving may also choose to block the player from transferring within the conference or to a future opponent.

It appears that Nick Saban and Alabama are doing just that to Brandon Kennedy, who announced his intention to transfer this week.

According to Matt Zenitz of AL.com, Alabama has in fact put that block on Kennedy, who is reportedly interested in joining Tennessee or Auburn. Kennedy graduated from Alabama back in December so he will be eligible to play immediately at his new school.
