Award-Winning Swimsuit/Fitness Model Becomes Pro Boxer

Award-Winning Swimsuit/Fitness Model Becomes Pro Boxer Avril Mathie gets lots of questions about her dual careers, which is understandable when you learn that she is a swimsuit model and a professional boxer. "I train in the same gym as Adriana Lima in Miami, and she watched me spar one time," Mathie told ESNEWS. "She's like, 'I don't know how you do it?' Obviously she's a fair bit more advanced in modeling than me. I don't know that I'd do it at her level either. But I just love it. I don't care. It's motivation to move my head and not get hit.

Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. would make a whole lot of money boxing each other back in August of 2017. But MMA is an entirely different beast. And while “Money” continues to tease stepping into the Octagon, McGregor’s coach isn’t so sure.

“I think it’s a bad move for Floyd to get into the cage,” coach Owen Roddy says. “I just think he doesn’t have enough time to learn what it takes to fight in the Octagon.”

However, Roddy knows what sells. And he knows Mayweather likes when the money is right.

“But he could make a lot of money. And money talks.”

That said, “Money” was reportedly looking to apply for his MMA license back in March. But now, it appears as though he’s having second thoughts.

Several UFC employees were victims of armed robbery in Brazil

Several UFC employees were victims of armed robbery in Brazil The UFC has traveled to Rio de Janeiro for its latest event this weekend, and there was an unfortunate incident involving several of the company’s employees in Brazil Thursday night. UFC president Dana White told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that a number of UFC staff members were victims of an armed robbery on Thursday. While several employees lost personal items such as phones, wallets and passports, there were no injuries reported. Police are in the process of reviewing security footage from where the incident took place. The official weigh-ins for UFC 224 were scheduled for Friday morning, and Okamoto reports that there have been no indications any of the robbery victims were fighters. Between Thursday night’s incident and the mayhem that occurred with Conor McGregor last month, White and the UFC have had to deal with a lot of drama — the bad kind — in recent weeks.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR has been warned against entering the mixed martial arts world. UFC News: McGregor to KILL Mayweather in MMA fight, Werdum talks. UFC News: Conor McGregor return statement, big Nate Diaz fight claim, Khabib’ s coach talk.

“As of right now, I’m touring around the world, doing different things, embracing my fans, getting love from all around the world, right now I’m just traveling,” Mayweather says. “I don’t know what the future holds, but as of right now, I’m retired. I’m not thinking about fighting right now.”

That’s probably for the best. Floyd can box, but just about any fighter in MMA could take him down with ease. Perhaps he should just leave it at that.
