— Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops has dismissed safety Marcus Walker following his arrest on charges of trafficking cocaine and marijuana. The arrest citation stated that a large amount of cash and a cash counter were found.

Walker ended up being charged with  possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking marijuana and trafficking a controlled substance, which was cocaine.

Per Mussato, “police found 52.86 grams of suspected powder cocaine in a kitchen cabinet along with digital scales and packaging material. More than 5 pounds of marijuana was found throughout the house — in a water heater closet, a counter next to the stove, under a bed and in a backpack.”

Before the arrest, the former four-star safety was likely going to take on a much bigger role this coming football season and was thought to be a potential starter in 2019 following the departures of Mike Edwards and Darius West.

Walker’s next court date is June 20.
