  Report: Lakers talking Paul George trade with Pacers The Los Angeles Lakers are the heavy favorite to land Paul George if and when the All-Star swingman hits free agency next summer, but that may not stop the team from trying to acquire him sooner. Marc Stein and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN are reporting that the Lakers have engaged the Indiana Pacers in trade talks involving George leading up to Thursday’s NBA Draft.

Paul George merchandise was dramatically marked down by one store in response to reports saying the forward would not be returning to the Pacers following the upcoming season. George has reportedly informed the Pacers he will opt out of his contract after next season and become a free agent.

Sports reported that Paul George informed the Pacers that he would become a free agent in 2018 with the hopes of signing with the Lakers. For now, George is still a member of the Pacers, but one clothing store in Indianapolis has already moved on from the Pacers star. Shortly after the report

While there may not be many stores giving away PG13 merchandise, there will surely be plenty of shops in an around Indianapolis that will be selling George shirts and hats at a supreme discount. George has certainly been a good player for the Pacers, so there’s no shame in wearing a shirt with his logo after he’s gone. If you don’t have one, now’s a good time to get one.

Report: Cavaliers will not land Paul George or Jimmy Butler .
The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently without a general manager after moving on from David Griffin earlier in the week. Among the names bandied about are Paul George and Jimmy Butler. Though, it does not appear that Cleveland has enough assets to add either All-Star player.
