  Report: Lakers talking to teams about trading second pick The Los Angeles Lakers sit in a pretty darn good position heading into the 2017 NBA Draft. They are currently slated to pick second overall with former UCLA standout Lonzo Ball being the likeliest selection there. With that said, new team president Magic Johnson may very well look to make a splash during the draft itself.According to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times, the Lakers have taken calls about the second pick. More than that, first-year general manager Rob Pelinka has also made some calls about potentially dealing away the pick.

Paul George merchandise was dramatically marked down by one store in response to reports saying the forward would not be returning to the Pacers following the upcoming season. George has reportedly informed the Pacers he will opt out of his contract after next season and become a free agent.

Sports reported that Paul George informed the Pacers that he would become a free agent in 2018 with the hopes of signing with the Lakers. For now, George is still a member of the Pacers, but one clothing store in Indianapolis has already moved on from the Pacers star. Shortly after the report

While there may not be many stores giving away PG13 merchandise, there will surely be plenty of shops in an around Indianapolis that will be selling George shirts and hats at a supreme discount. George has certainly been a good player for the Pacers, so there’s no shame in wearing a shirt with his logo after he’s gone. If you don’t have one, now’s a good time to get one.

The San Antonio Spurs may be making a run at Paul George, and they would reportedly be willing to trade for him even without a commitment beyond next season. Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders reported on Thursday that the Spurs have a “real shot” at landing George, and the Indiana Pacers star is said to have mutual interest.
