Death of South Carolina jail inmate under investigation .
The death of an inmate in a South Carolina jail is under investigation by state and local authorities. Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said in a news release that 47-year-old Ronald Jason Ball of Woodruff was declared brain-dead Tuesday afternoon.Clevenger said his office will investigate the cause of death once organ donation decisions are made. The coroner said there is no immediate indication that Ball was killed by someone else.The State Law Enforcement Division is also investigating the death.
